Tony and Ann Kischner, owners of The Shoalwater Restaurant in Seaview, recently received two separate awards for Outstanding Wine List from prestigious national and regional wine publications.

In its annual Restaurant Awards issue honoring "the best restaurants in the world for wine lovers," The Wine Spectator gave The Shoalwater its 14th consecutive Award of Excellence "for having one of the most outstanding restaurant wine lists in the world." The Shoalwater is the only restaurant on the Washington and Oregon coasts to receive this national distinction in 2001.

Wine Press Northwest has just released the results of its Third Annual Best Northwest Wine List competition, giving The Shoalwater its third consecutive Outstanding Northwest Wine List award for "one of the consistently best wine lists" in the region. The Shoalwater is lauded for its "wonderful cuisine, incredible wine list and great winemaker dinners."

The Shoalwater Restaurant’s wine list currently features over 500 selections of wines from all of the world’s major wine-growing regions, with a strong emphasis on the wines of the Pacific Northwest.
